Medical Assistants at the heart of health care

The New Hampshire State Society of Medical Assistants invite all members of the New Hampshire Board of Medicine to a one-hour session on the Scope of Practice for Medical Assistants in New Hampshire. This will take place by conference call on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 7PM to 8PM.

American Association of Medical Assistants Chief Executive Officer Donald A. Balasa, JD, MBA, will be presenting this in an interactve forum by conference call.

Scope of Practice questions are among the most frequently fielded by the NHSMA. There are many questions about what MA’s can do, who they take directions from and who is ultimately responsible for the actions of Medical Assistants.

If you have questions, concerns or just curiosity, please RVSP to attend at one of our sites across the state. We currently have a commitment for Concord Hospital and Lamprey Health Care in Raymond to host this.

If your practice/ company wishes to be a host site for this event, please contact the NHSMA for more information.

Although this session is geared more for managers: upper and mid-level, physicians and HR , it is also open to medical assistants for 1 CEU credit (general category) in limited locations. All MA’s that meet attendance requirements will be given a certificate of attendance for the event. Non NHSMA members can use this to obtain credits from their credentialing organizations. Credit for AAMA Members will be submitted by the NHSMA. Please bring your membership card with you for verification.

Please contact Linda Prince, CMA (AAMA), COA, OCT-C, President of the NHSMA, for more information.
