Medical Assistants at the heart of health care

New Hampshire State Society of Medical Assistants invites all practice managers, HR, physicians, Nurse Practitioners to a one-hour information session on the Scope of Practice for Medical Assistants in New Hampshire. This will take place by conference call on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 7PM to 8PM.

American Association of Medical Assistants Chief Executive Officer Donald A. Balasa, JD, MBA, will be presenting this in an interactve forum by conference call. Mr. Balasa is well known nationally for his interpretations of the CMS ruling of credentialed vs licensed personal and order entry of medication, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging orders into the electronic health record (EHR) and meaningful use.

Scope of Practice questions are among the most frequently fielded by the NHSMA. There are many questions about what MA’s can do, who can they take directions from and who is ultimately responsible for the actions of Medical Assistants. If you have questions, concerns or just curiosity, please RVSP to attend at one of our many sites across the state.

Current locations include Concord Hospital, Concord, NH and Lamprey Health Care in Raymond, NH.

This session is open to medical assistants for 1 CEU credit in selected locations. All MA’s that meet attendance requirements will be given a certificate of attendance for the event. Non NHSMA members can use this to obtain credits from their credentialing organizations. Credit for NHSMA Members will be submitted by the NHSMA.
