​After a 20 year career in retail I chose to go back to college and study medical assisting. I obtained my Associates Degree in Medical Assisting from Hesser College and have also obtained my Bachelors Degree in Health Science through Kaplan University. I work for the Concord Hospital Family Health Center and am now in my 18th year with that great organization. I am the lead medical assistant and also work as part of the education department within Concord Hospital. Being an educator is a passion of mine and in my role I not only get to help educate other medical assistants within our organization but with my clinic also being part of the New Hampshire Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency program I get to work with resident physicians and contribute to their education as well. I have also helped to foster a new generation of medical assistants into our phenomenal profession by being an Adjunct Professor for Manchester Community College and taught within the MA apprenticeship program at Concord Hospital. I have been an active member with the NHSMA  board since 2018 and have had many roles such as Concord NH Ambassador, Communication Committee Chair, Vice President / President Elect, and current President. As the communication chair I created the current NHSMA website which won the Excel Award at the AAMA National Conference in 2019.  On a personal note I am happily married to a fantastic woman who puts up with me and my nerdy habits! I am also an avid movie buff so if you ever want to chat about the cinema I am your guy!

My name is Courtney Insley I am a medical assistant with internal medicine. I have been in the medical field since I graduated high school. I love the medical field especially being a medical assistant because I have multiple jobs in one and it is always changing. My big goal as being a medical assistant is hearing "what is a medical assistant" to " hey its my medical assistant"

I began my career as a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) in 2018, as a career change from teaching. I obtained my Bachelors in Childhood Studies with a concentration in teaching from Plymouth State University in 2006. I completed my Associates in Medical Assisting from Manchester Community College in 2018. Currently, I am enrolled to obtain my Master’s degree in Healthcare Management to further my passion to teach at a higher level. Since my passion is in education, joining the board of the NHSMA is an exciting opportunity to continue to be a part of bringing quality education (CEU) to NH Medical Assistants. In addition, I will be joining the Education Committee with NHSMA to help bring these opportunities to Medical Assistants.

Candice has been a Certified Medical Assistant since 1997. After gaining clinical experience across multiple healthcare systems in the Manchester and Concord areas, she transitioned into education as an Adjunct Faculty member at Hesser College. In 2003, Candice was appointed Medical Assistant Program Director at Hesser College’s Concord Campus, a role she held until the institution closed in 2013.

Following Hesser College’s closure, Candice joined Manchester Community College in 2013 as an Adjunct Faculty member. She assumed the role of Medical Assistant Program Director in 2017 and led the program until its closure in 2023. Most recently, Candice has been employed
